The Best Parenting Advice: Ask Your Kids This Question

Editor's Note: Did you ever read a piece of parenting advice and internally balk? Not because the advice was off the wall, but because you felt convicted of your wrong-doings? Yeah. I felt that way after reading a recent post by Heather at Live with Flair. I know I need to do this with my kids, ask them this important question, but man. I fear the responses. The Best Parenting Advice: Ask This Question:

She told me to sit on the end of my daughter's bed every week and ask her if there's anything I've done to hurt her.

That's it. That's the simple question.

"Ask her if there's anything you need to apologize for and see what happens. Do this regularly."

The mother said that children close down when they're hurt.
